ANTIQUE CAMEL BACK TRUNK, PAINTED BLACK, GREAT STORAGE

This item is an antique camel back trunk with extra storage in the lid and a removable tray with drawers. The outside is painted a black enamel and has nice wood strips on all four side and on the top. There is a label on the inside of the tray which reads "R.B. Grover & Co. Makers The Emerson Shoe." The inside of the lid and the tray are lined with great vintage paper in red, white, and blue. Below the tray is a nice size open storage area, measuring 16" in height, 28 3/4" from side to side, and 15 1/2" from front to back. There is quite a bit of wear, which we have shown in the photographs. The outside of the trunk measures 24 1/2" in height, 30 1/2" from side to side, and 17 1/8" from front to back. The storage space in the lid is 6" deep, 16 3/4" from side to side, and 16" from front to back. The removable tray measures 2" deep, 17 1/4" from side to side, and 14 1/2" from front to back. The box on the tray is 6 1/4" deep, 9 5/8" from side to side, and 14" from front to back. Total weight is 37 pounds. We do not know the exact age.

Antique Traveling Trunk With Pictures On Lid & Tray

We have for sale an antique traveling trunk. The trunk is metal with wood strips on the exterior. There are two leather straps on each end. There is no lock. On the inside there is a picture on the inside lid and a matching one on the tray cover. The small compartment box has a lid with a picture on it. When you remove the tray compartment the trunk is lined in newspapers. The trunk does show wear. But due remember it is an antique and will not be perfect. We do not know the exact age or date. It weighs 41 pounds and is 22 inches tall by 31 1/2 inches long and 19 1/2 inches wide. We do have more photographs that we can email if you are interested.
